Nyctalopia is even funnier with a friend !
Nyctalopia uses the Steamworks framework for the multiplayer. A Steam account is required to use Steamworks functions.

Multiplayer is already enabled by default on the Steam version of the game.
You can launch the game and the main menu will tell you if you are connected to Steam (your steam nickname and logo will appear at the bottom left).
If the message “NotConnectedToSteam” appears, please check that Steam is open and that you are connected to your account.
To use multiplayer, click on the “New Game” button (or “Load Game” if you want to join a save game) and follow those instructions.
To host a game, click on the “Play” button below the section “Create Server”, you will appear in the lobby.
You have two options for inviting your friend: either by Steam invitation or using the “RoomID”.
Finally, when all the players are ready you can click on the “Launch the Game” button.
To join a friend, you must either use a “Room ID” in the “Join Server” section and click on “Connect” or using a Steam invitation.
You will be, after that, redirected to the lobby.

Le multijoueur est déja activé par défaut sur la version Steam du jeu.
Vous pouvez lancer le jeu.
Le menu principal vous indiquera si vous êtes bien connecté à Steam (votre pseudonyme Steam apparaitra en bas à gauche).
Si le message “NotConnectedToSteam” apparait, veuillez vérifier que Steam est bien ouvert et que vous êtes connecté à votre compte.
Afin d’utiliser le mode multijoueur, cliquez sur le bouton “Nouvelle Partie” (ou “Charger partie” si vous voulez rejoindre une sauvegarde) et suivez les instructions ci-dessous.
Afin d’héberger une partie, cliquez sur le bouton “Jouer” en dessous de “Créer Serveur”, vous apparaitrez ensuite dans le lobby.
Vous avez deux possibilités pour inviter votre ami : soit par invitation Steam, soit à l’aide du “Room ID”.
Enfin lorsque tous les joueurs sont prêts vous pourrez cliquer sur le bouton “Lancer le Jeu”.
Afin rejoindre un ami, il faut soit utiliser un “Room ID” dans la partie “Joindre Le Serveur” et cliquer sur “Se Connecter”, soit à l’aide d’une invitation Steam.
Vous serez ensuite redirigé vers le lobby.
